Commerce Regional Workforce Impact Program Deadline Approaches

The North Dakota Department of Commerce reminds communities across the state that the application deadline for the Regional Workforce Impact Program (RWIP) is quickly approaching. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. CST on Jan. 21.

RWIP offers grants to regional workforce entities to develop innovative solutions tailored to address specific workforce challenges.

The RWIP program empowers communities to tackle workforce challenges with creativity and collaboration,” said Katie Ralston Howe, Commerce Workforce Division Director. “With impressive initiatives in past rounds, we’re excited to see the new ideas and strategies that emerge this time around.”

Funded by the 68th North Dakota Legislative Assembly, RWIP provides grants designed to:

  • Address Immediate Workforce Needs: Supporting initiatives that directly respond to pressing challenges and enhance economic stability.
  • Promote Collaboration: Encouraging regional partners to join forces, maximizing resources to create sustainable, impactful solutions.
  • Foster Broader Community Impact: Supporting efforts that benefit diverse populations and communities across the state.

Commerce remains committed to addressing workforce challenges and creating economic opportunities for all North Dakotans.
