Environmental Incident Reported in McKenzie County
BISMARCK, ND – Select Water Solutions LLC notified the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division of a tank battery explosion and fire at the Rink SWD 2 site in McKenzie County. The incident occurred on December 29, approx. 15 miles east of Watford City.
Select Water Solutions LLC reported that 4000 barrels of produced water released onto location from a fire on December 29, 2025.
A North Dakota Oil and Gas inspector has been to the location and will monitor any additional cleanup required.
